adventures in bangkok pt.1

WHEN...

all of a sudden an announcement was made.

"Attention Ms Lips, Ms Jman and Ms Nat"
(i forgot what else was said)

OH EM GEE!

we immediately jumped from our seats and ran straight to the boarding gate. we were SO shocked to hear our names being called. OMG so memalukan.

RUN RUN RUN we did.

so embarrassing ok. and the workers were laughing and pointing at us.

what a way to start the trip hor. first time in my life such a thing happened. nevermind, at least we were fashionably late wtf. sigh..why are we so fabulous and glamorous wtf?

anyways, we arrived and then took a cab to our hotel. if you wanna be 'economical' like us, take the public cabs cos it's wayyyy cheaper (400 baht) compared to the airport cab (1000 baht).

and thus begins our journey to bangkok, the land of smiles.

we stayed in baiyoke sky hotel, the tallest hotel in bangkok.

and if the airport incident wasn't adventure enough for us, we had another one in the hotel when we were checking in.

i forgot to hide one of us and let 2 people check in. so 3 of us went up to the reception to check in.

as the guy was checking us in, he looked up at us and asked

"how many person checking in?"

"urhmm...3?"

"i'll have to charge you additional 800 baht per night"

"oooohhhhh....urhmmm"

then the guy turned away to continue with his paperwork whilst the 3 of us began to devise a plan. luckily Lips *pats Lips on the back wtf* was fast enough to say

"like that arrr...then Jman, you stay with *insert random name* laa. call him to come pick you up now"

then the guy came back to us and we immediately said

"she's not staying with us. she's gonna stay at a friends place"

the guy looked at us funny.

*omg please believe us. please believe us*

pre-bangkok post

FINALLY.

i got the pictures. so now its time for my bangkok post *clapclapwtf*

ok first of, i have a very embarrassing story to tell. omg so embarrassing laa. should i tell?? should i tell??

nevermind. my epidermis is a bit the tebal so i shall tell. you lucky readers, you!

me and lips went to the LCCT 2 hours early. since we were so early, we decided to eat and wait for jman before checking in.

jman came.

checked in.

then it was jman's turn to eat.

when it comes to airport food, better stick with the ones you know ie. mcd's. because the asian kitchen/express/whatever its called wasn't good. so i was told. plus very expensive. if you're gonna pay a premium price might as well pay for doublecheeseburgerandfrenchfries yum yum.

by that time, i think were about an hour before departure.

so...we lengang lengong here and there. do note that we were to fly at 8.50pm. by the time we went into the departure hall it was 8.30pm. i think we must have been too excited or too tired or just plain clueless.

8.50pm is DEPARTURE TIME.

8.20pm is BOARDING TIME.

we were sitting in the waiting area around 8.30pm. some more we were saying "where's the gate arr?" "why nobody queuing up?" "haih..so tired, let's just sit and wait"

so there we were sitting and waiting to board at 8.50pm thinking still got long time more...

WHEN...

hair hair

has this ever happened to you?

when you want to go out, you try to do your hair but no matter how many times you comb, blowdry or tie it a certain way it'll never turn out the way or look as good as you want it to? like no matter how long you stand in front of the mirror with your comb in hand and hairdryer in the other, it just never turns out good.

BUT

when you're at home in your shorts and t-shirt, you randomly do your hair, it turns out bloody good. like the hair just falls nicely in place without you even looking in the mirror!! you only realize when you look in the mirror to see it that you realize, "damn i look good" wtf of course i don't say that *coughcough*

sigh. to be a girl. so difficult laa. shave my hair and be bald laa. save money on shampoo and no need to hairdry wtf no need to towel dry also cos the water will just drip off.

pink martini, my dose of happiness

i must have taken a pill of happiness or optimism because i feel light and free. i feel worry-less. i feel like i can do whatever and be whatever.

hmm...

effin' weird feeling.

but i'm not complaining. this is probably what it feels like to be high on life. or maybe it's because i haven't seen a certain "someone" who has been the root of my worries and despair.

dang it. i knew it was too good to be true.

let's hope for my sake that i have become immune.

***

i have FINALLY made the switch of operators.

no more creepy yellow fellow who looks like a tellytubby wannabe who says he'll follow you.

pfft. liars lah.

more like we will follow you.

***

i really like this song by Pink Martini "Je Ne Veux Pas Travailler".

doesn't it make you feel happy-ish? or make you feel like you're in paris at a cafe sipping whatever gourmet coffee, hot chocolate (OMG HAZELNUT HOT CHOCOLATE) for me with a freshly baked chocolate croissant at the side or if you must, at starbucks laa since thats where i heard the song first anyways?

Ahhh...to enjoy the simplicities of life.

day2

second day of classes.

tutorial for mcp was...fun? different? yet same at the same time.

the stock market for presentation topics. le sigh. missed out on the 2 that i wanted. nevermind. better take the earlier ones so that i'll be done and over with it sooner.

somehow i'm glad i have something to keep me occupied with for the semester. whether it will take a toll on my studies is another matter but somehow, i know that i will pull through. this is after all my future we're talking about. if i can juggle it all and survive, bravo.

i won't even think otherwise.

seasick

i cannot believe my holidays are over. 3 weeks of ups and downs.

the ups came fast. very happy ups indeed.

but so did the downs. and boy did they come crashing into me. there is a wave of emotions crashing into me that i feel nauseous. like i'm about to puke any time. and not because of the crazy amounts of liquid i have consumed over the past week. i am literally nauseous. something is stuck in my throat, waiting to just come spilling out.

i was the calm before the storm.

i am NOW the wave, the sea, the lightning and the thunderstorm. i am the iceberg that sank the ocean liner. i killed jack and because of me, rose is jack-less wtf.

i am the raging sea.

sometimes i really feel like i am floating in the middle of the deep, vast fucking ocean. all by myself. wallowing in my self fucking misery.

i literally have a wave of emotions inside of me. one moment i was gung ho about something, the next, i was so depressed i had to take deep breaths just so that i wouldn't burst out.

i had a brief moment of happiness when i found out who lucas chose to bring to las vegas that i was pumping the air, going "yessss!!!"

i am fucking miserable.

i am fucking depressed.

this isn't the end of the world. there are other worst things that COULD happen. shit happens.

accepting it.

denying it.

i am nauseous.

i am the dark, emo wannabe sitting in the corner playing with the blade.

physical pain is tangible. scars are the proof of the pain and tears.

my insides need to bleed and its bleeding. leona lewis bleeding love wtf.

poker face

for the first time i played poker.

with my lecturers too!

this was the time to suck up kao-kao to my lecturer. i donated $100 to my lecturer. the future looks very promising *rubs hands in glee

poker also confirms that arts students can't count. or maybe we're just colour blind.

it was a farewell party worth remembering.

it was also like an episode of gossip girl minus the sex. or maybe not. who knows!?

i'd say it was very enlightening. the 2 bright eyed (okay, maybe not so bright eyed anymore. we have seen the light!) 2nd year students learnt lots from the senior graduating students.

now i have ALOT to live up to.

you know you love me
xoxo gossip girl
