bangkok post in its finality finally

did he believe us?

so after declaring loudly that one of us was going to be staying at a friends place, he began to get busy with the paperwork and click clicking on the computer.

so we waited. and waited. and waited.

and then he declares

"i have upgraded your rooms to a suite"

O___O

"but if i catch three of you in the room, i will charge you double"

+___+

"have a pleasant stay *flashes smile wtf*

***

when we got into the room, we were like 'WHOAAA'

we had a living and dining room. with a walk in wardrobe the size of a public toilet cubicle and a huge ass bathroom. basically, we had a BIG room for 3 girls.

damn good deal.

rights. i'm getting lazy to type so i'll let the photos do the talking.

view from our room

the uncle who sold us skewered chicken&pork. he's holding an egg which will make us strong. he kept showing us his muscle while holding the chicken. but anyways, he damn layan. posed whenever the camera was directed at him. must be thinking we damn jakun, never see hawker food seller before wtf. and he was damn nice. buy 10 free 1 and he added in 3 of the eggs that will make us strong!

Platinum Fashion Mall is every female's dream destination in Bangkok. must visit ok! i rate this 11 stars wtf. your money will surely be well spent here.

satisfied after shopping!

then we headed to the shopping centers! this is us in front of Central World. it's just like your regular shopping mall. most of the brands here can be found back home. anyways, when going to Bangkok, you dont buy stuff you can get back home. you buy cheap stuff!

then we headed to Paragon, where we had Tony Roma's Pork Ribs *yumyum* faster guess how much? it was less than 250 baht. TONY ROMA'S PORK RIBS you cannot get at that price! there was a promotion going on i think, hence the very affordable pricing. the beef ribs back here is already like rm50++ so imagine our joy when we saw the price for pork ribs. i think the fact that it was pork ribs was enough to tempt us to eat it anyways. if it wasn't pork ribs it would have been mcdonald's pork burger. see the pattern? we were in a pork indulgence.

after dinner, waiting for a taxi!

then at night this is what we came home to.

ok fine, not exactly. we had to buy this before 12am because in Thailand, they dont sell alcohol after 12am.

drink we did.

and again, drink we did. shots!

then, partied we did.

the next day it was off to chatuchak, the biggest weekend market! must come here at least once when in bangkok. the enormity of the market amazes me. can get lost i'm not kidding. and the rule is to buy what you see. dont even think of thinking about it and then going back to the shop to get it. cause, that's not gonna be possible.

believe me when i say we hunted high and low for them coconuts! unfortunately they weren't chilled cold. room temperature pfft. the weather was damn hot! but nevermind, got to satisfy my coconut craving. going to Thailand, one cannot miss out on their coconuts and orange tangerine whatever you want to call it. those 2 drinks MUST drink when in Thailand especially in hot weather like Thailand.

after chatuchak, we headed to Emporium. i think we spent about an hour in the shoe department i kid you not. we took forever in deciding if we wanted to buy the shoes or not. the salesperson must have wanted to strangle us +__+ but alas, we all bought the shoe! no need to strangle after all since got business albeit it took forever to come to that decision wtf. then after getting our shoes, we went to get ourselves a massage! when in Thailand, the massage cannot miss! be it a foot massage or full body massage. very worth it especially after a long day of shopping =D the photo shows them preparing for our massage

at night, we headed off to suan lum night market. another great place to visit. you can find all kinds of kitschy stuff here. there was this shop that had one of a kind shoes, but unfortunately, they're made to order so we couldn't buy 'em. after suan lum, we planned to head back to the hotel but halfway, we decided to go visit patpong, another night market but not just any night market. this night market offers you the chance of watching a 'ping-pong show'. and boy are the pimps aggressive. they practically stalk you. we were curious as to what it was about so we asked one of them pimps and the next thing we know when we walked away, she (yes, a she pimp wtf) stalked us. we got damn scared and quickly hopped into the above pictured tuk-tuk.

we went back into the comforts of our hotel room. but of course, not before stopping by 7eleven. seriously, there were 3 7elevens right in front of our hotel! as you can see from the photo above, there are 2 cans of heineken, 2 bottles of smirnoff red, 3 cocktails, 1 lychee something *i forgot the name* and a bottle of black smirnoff. OMG ALL THAT FOR 3 GIRLS!!!
at the end of the day, we downed a can of heineken and one of them alcopops. we alternated between the 2 and omg the combination will leave you high. guaranteed wtf.

so there you go.

that concludes my bangkok post.

i had tonnes of fun in bangkok with the 2 monkeys. the long nights of chit-chat, bonding over shopping and drinks, and the very carerful language we used makes for one heck of a memory!

we had so much fun, we're thinking of making this an annual trip!

ps: you know what my theory is regarding our hotel room? i think he knew we were lying and that was why he upgraded us. or maybe it's because it was 3 of us girls. smitten with us wtf. whatever the reason, bless his soul. he made our stay in bangkok all the more memorable! superior suite for 3 girls. i feel like i was in an episode of sex and the city wtf. the shoes, the shopping, the drinking, the city of Bangkok, the chitchats minus the sex. or not. HA HA *wiggles eyebrow*

adventures in bangkok pt.1

WHEN...

all of a sudden an announcement was made.

"Attention Ms Lips, Ms Jman and Ms Nat"
(i forgot what else was said)

OH EM GEE!

we immediately jumped from our seats and ran straight to the boarding gate. we were SO shocked to hear our names being called. OMG so memalukan.

RUN RUN RUN we did.

so embarrassing ok. and the workers were laughing and pointing at us.

what a way to start the trip hor. first time in my life such a thing happened. nevermind, at least we were fashionably late wtf. sigh..why are we so fabulous and glamorous wtf?

anyways, we arrived and then took a cab to our hotel. if you wanna be 'economical' like us, take the public cabs cos it's wayyyy cheaper (400 baht) compared to the airport cab (1000 baht).

and thus begins our journey to bangkok, the land of smiles.

we stayed in baiyoke sky hotel, the tallest hotel in bangkok.

and if the airport incident wasn't adventure enough for us, we had another one in the hotel when we were checking in.

i forgot to hide one of us and let 2 people check in. so 3 of us went up to the reception to check in.

as the guy was checking us in, he looked up at us and asked

"how many person checking in?"

"urhmm...3?"

"i'll have to charge you additional 800 baht per night"

"oooohhhhh....urhmmm"

then the guy turned away to continue with his paperwork whilst the 3 of us began to devise a plan. luckily Lips *pats Lips on the back wtf* was fast enough to say

"like that arrr...then Jman, you stay with *insert random name* laa. call him to come pick you up now"

then the guy came back to us and we immediately said

"she's not staying with us. she's gonna stay at a friends place"

the guy looked at us funny.

*omg please believe us. please believe us*

pre-bangkok post

FINALLY.

i got the pictures. so now its time for my bangkok post *clapclapwtf*

ok first of, i have a very embarrassing story to tell. omg so embarrassing laa. should i tell?? should i tell??

nevermind. my epidermis is a bit the tebal so i shall tell. you lucky readers, you!

me and lips went to the LCCT 2 hours early. since we were so early, we decided to eat and wait for jman before checking in.

jman came.

checked in.

then it was jman's turn to eat.

when it comes to airport food, better stick with the ones you know ie. mcd's. because the asian kitchen/express/whatever its called wasn't good. so i was told. plus very expensive. if you're gonna pay a premium price might as well pay for doublecheeseburgerandfrenchfries yum yum.

by that time, i think were about an hour before departure.

so...we lengang lengong here and there. do note that we were to fly at 8.50pm. by the time we went into the departure hall it was 8.30pm. i think we must have been too excited or too tired or just plain clueless.

8.50pm is DEPARTURE TIME.

8.20pm is BOARDING TIME.

we were sitting in the waiting area around 8.30pm. some more we were saying "where's the gate arr?" "why nobody queuing up?" "haih..so tired, let's just sit and wait"

so there we were sitting and waiting to board at 8.50pm thinking still got long time more...

WHEN...

hair hair

has this ever happened to you?

when you want to go out, you try to do your hair but no matter how many times you comb, blowdry or tie it a certain way it'll never turn out the way or look as good as you want it to? like no matter how long you stand in front of the mirror with your comb in hand and hairdryer in the other, it just never turns out good.

BUT

when you're at home in your shorts and t-shirt, you randomly do your hair, it turns out bloody good. like the hair just falls nicely in place without you even looking in the mirror!! you only realize when you look in the mirror to see it that you realize, "damn i look good" wtf of course i don't say that *coughcough*

sigh. to be a girl. so difficult laa. shave my hair and be bald laa. save money on shampoo and no need to hairdry wtf no need to towel dry also cos the water will just drip off.

pink martini, my dose of happiness

i must have taken a pill of happiness or optimism because i feel light and free. i feel worry-less. i feel like i can do whatever and be whatever.

hmm...

effin' weird feeling.

but i'm not complaining. this is probably what it feels like to be high on life. or maybe it's because i haven't seen a certain "someone" who has been the root of my worries and despair.

dang it. i knew it was too good to be true.

let's hope for my sake that i have become immune.

***

i have FINALLY made the switch of operators.

no more creepy yellow fellow who looks like a tellytubby wannabe who says he'll follow you.

pfft. liars lah.

more like we will follow you.

***

i really like this song by Pink Martini "Je Ne Veux Pas Travailler".

doesn't it make you feel happy-ish? or make you feel like you're in paris at a cafe sipping whatever gourmet coffee, hot chocolate (OMG HAZELNUT HOT CHOCOLATE) for me with a freshly baked chocolate croissant at the side or if you must, at starbucks laa since thats where i heard the song first anyways?

Ahhh...to enjoy the simplicities of life.

day2

second day of classes.

tutorial for mcp was...fun? different? yet same at the same time.

the stock market for presentation topics. le sigh. missed out on the 2 that i wanted. nevermind. better take the earlier ones so that i'll be done and over with it sooner.

somehow i'm glad i have something to keep me occupied with for the semester. whether it will take a toll on my studies is another matter but somehow, i know that i will pull through. this is after all my future we're talking about. if i can juggle it all and survive, bravo.

i won't even think otherwise.

seasick

i cannot believe my holidays are over. 3 weeks of ups and downs.

the ups came fast. very happy ups indeed.

but so did the downs. and boy did they come crashing into me. there is a wave of emotions crashing into me that i feel nauseous. like i'm about to puke any time. and not because of the crazy amounts of liquid i have consumed over the past week. i am literally nauseous. something is stuck in my throat, waiting to just come spilling out.

i was the calm before the storm.

i am NOW the wave, the sea, the lightning and the thunderstorm. i am the iceberg that sank the ocean liner. i killed jack and because of me, rose is jack-less wtf.

i am the raging sea.

sometimes i really feel like i am floating in the middle of the deep, vast fucking ocean. all by myself. wallowing in my self fucking misery.

i literally have a wave of emotions inside of me. one moment i was gung ho about something, the next, i was so depressed i had to take deep breaths just so that i wouldn't burst out.

i had a brief moment of happiness when i found out who lucas chose to bring to las vegas that i was pumping the air, going "yessss!!!"

i am fucking miserable.

i am fucking depressed.

this isn't the end of the world. there are other worst things that COULD happen. shit happens.

accepting it.

denying it.

i am nauseous.

i am the dark, emo wannabe sitting in the corner playing with the blade.

physical pain is tangible. scars are the proof of the pain and tears.

my insides need to bleed and its bleeding. leona lewis bleeding love wtf.

poker face

for the first time i played poker.

with my lecturers too!

this was the time to suck up kao-kao to my lecturer. i donated $100 to my lecturer. the future looks very promising *rubs hands in glee

poker also confirms that arts students can't count. or maybe we're just colour blind.

it was a farewell party worth remembering.

it was also like an episode of gossip girl minus the sex. or maybe not. who knows!?

i'd say it was very enlightening. the 2 bright eyed (okay, maybe not so bright eyed anymore. we have seen the light!) 2nd year students learnt lots from the senior graduating students.

now i have ALOT to live up to.

you know you love me

2 in a week

wednesday was spent watching a movie and gossiping.

http://www.cinemablend.com/images/reviews/2234/_12067331758953.jpg

thursday was spent watching a movie and shopping.

http://iamthelostgirl.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/angie-2.jpg

seeing a regular pattern?

OMG, i watched 2 movies in one week. that's rm14 worth of dvds.

BUT i have to say, both movies are definitely worth watching. get smart is hilarious with a capital H. steve carell is just pure funny. it's like the office on big screen. plus a tiny bit of harry potter in it. not laugh-out-loud funny but HA HA HA funny.

Siegfried: How do I know you're not from CONTROL?
Maxwell Smart: If I were from CONTROL, you'd already be dead.
Siegfried: If you were from CONTROL, YOU'D already be dead.
Maxwell Smart: Neither of us is dead, so I'm obviously not from CONTROL.
[long pause]
Shtarker: That actually makes sense.

this sort of dialogue are a plenty. which is very entertaining. and who would have thought steve carell could be a leading man! check out his other movie, dan in real life.

Sloan: It a choice, Wesley, that each of us must face: to remain ordinary, pathetic, beat-down, coasting through a miserable existence, like sheep herded by fate, or you can take control of your own destiny and join us, releasing the caged wolf you have inside. Our purpose is to maintain stability in an unstable world - kill one, save a thousand. Within the fabric of this world, every life hangs by a thread. We are that thread - a fraternity of assassins, weapons of fate. This is the decision that lies before you know: the sheep, or the wolf. The choice is yours.

FANTABULUSTIC!

i liked the editing of the movie. cool shyt man. it's like the matrix and sin city combined.

there's a scene which so reminded me of the matrix. but this was just crazy! cos in the matrix it wasn't really real. everything was a code and all. but in wanted, this was real shyt so when that scene came up, i was just 'WHOA!'

james mcavoy totally unexpected but so so SO AWESOMETASTIC! who would have thought the guy from narnia, becoming jane, atonement and penelope could be in an action movie!

http://images.fandango.com/images/fandangoblog/wanted4.jpg

and not a big fan of hers but i have to admit angelina jolie looked really hot in the movie.

http://l.yimg.com/img.movies.yahoo.com/ymv/us/img/flickr/57/01/002380335701.jpg

the only thing ruining the fun in the movie is the totally unnecessary censoring of swear words. for goodness sake, people pay good money to watch the movie. this is not shown on tv. plus its already rated 18SG. adults are watching NOT 5 year old kids! really potong stim! potong kau kau!

it was so random. when they started using swear words, they muted the part. and it was so obvious lah what they were saying. but they JUST had to mute it! so there are parts in the movie that goes 'bla bla *silence* bla bla *silence* bla bla'

the cinema was pretty cool though. has been awhile since i watched at gsc mv. i remember not liking to watch there cos the screen wasn't as clear as the ones at tgv. the seats were good cos there was a headrest unlike in other cinemas where you had to slide down to rest your head on the seats. me likey likey the seats. i actually wanted to watch at the gsc premier at the gardens but because the tickets were double the price it was decided to be better off sticking to the regular priced cinema.

then there was the shopping.

window shopping more likely. i had to exercise self-control and kept with the mantra of "i'll be going to bangkok to shop" everytime i spotted something that i wanted. and thankfully, it's been working *gives self a pat on the back*

most also probably know that mng, zara and topshop, miss selfridge and dp are having SALE now.

OH EM GEE the queue in the fitting room is atrociously long. you would have thought the gov had annouced a price hike in apparels wtf. reminisce of the queue for petrol a day before the hike. instead of cars, a long line of females wtf.

like in each of the shops i mentioned above, there was bound to be a queue. totally made my exercising of self-control that much easier. i couldn't be bothered to queue. plus in mng it was really really hot and kinda stuffy. like they didn't bother to turn on their air-conditioning. pfft! and the clothes were in a total disarray. typical sale situation where clothes are just everywhere . even the clothes in a pasar malam would be better organized! that said, some of the stuff are reasonably priced. would probably be wise to go during a weekday like mondays or tuesdays OR be a smart shopper and wear shorts and a tank top so that you can just try on the clothes then and there. or wear a sarong and bikini! HA HA.

the sale in zara on the other hand, not really exciting. some items that i saw were like reduced from rm159.90 to rm129.90. pfftt..rm30 difference and you call that a sale. the crowd wasn't as crazy as mng though but the queue in the fitting room, just as long. i did see a bag that i liked and my self-control could only be controlled so much. thank goodness for the mantra i kept repeating. kept me sane wtf.

then the final stop we went to was the topshop/miss selfridge/dorothy perkins member's sale. storewide only 20%. wells, better 20% than nothing at all. as usual, a long line could be seen for the fitting rooms. however, the lines could be seen in topshop and dp. miss selfridge macam so kesian! no queue at all and no crowds either.

that said, nobody can resist a SALE. every shoppers favourite four letter word!

what did i get you might ask?
i got myself a rm10 tanktop and a rm5 hairclip. and no, they weren't on sale. you can call me cheapskate or you can call me economical wtf. and to think i was this close to getting that zara bag which was only cheaper by rm30! that would have been a rip off.

thankgoodness i am stingy with my money wtf.

ps:anyone going for the klue urbanscapes!? i can't decide if i want to go or not.

borrowed connection

my connection has gone God knows where. and therefore i am 'borrowing' someone's wireless. bless his soul for not password protecting it =D

after 5 agonizing days without any internet connection, i feel slightly whole again. why slightly? cos' it's not as fast as my very own connection!!! where are you??? can you please get back here NOW! clearly, i have gone mentally unstable because i have been preparing for a battle that just ended today =D=D=D *can i get a WOO-HOO!!*

i guess not having ANY internet connection for the past few days was a blessing in disguise, eh? cos that meant i didnt have any distractions. oh wells, the fruits of my labour shall be seen next month * both fingers crossed*

anyhoo, called the tm guy over and wtf dont come over laa if you dont know how to fix up/repair the wireless connection setting mumbo jumbo. so now i gotta take the modem to the computer man to do some badabingbadaboo on it.

they are so damn efficient, it's mind blowing.

i was delighted to find that there are still good samaritans out there who dont password protect their connection. good on you! helps the connectionless like me. so whoever you are, THANK YOU! you are too kind.

however, although i appreciate the wireless connection that i am borrowing, it is not the same as my very own. for one, it is super slow. so slow i could knit a sweater. not that i know how to knit a sweater. and for the life of me, i can't log onto messenger. boohoo.

oh em gee, i think i've gone delusional. i'm bloggin so passionately about an internet connection.

welcome to the 21st century.

friday the 13th

friday the 13th.

does the date freak you out? No? Yes? Right so i've got a story to tell...

It all began when pui yan called or was it sms?

Right, now i remember. We planned to go out the day before so the thing on friday was prearranged. le sigh..this is a sign of me aging +_+

So on friday we went out to catch a movie. we watched a happening movie. you'd probably figured it out already.

http://www.startv.com/blog/vipaccess/images/First%20Look%20Images/thehappening1_large.jpg

yeah, DAMN HAPPENING wtf.

this is an m.night shyamalan movie and i was expecting some twists at the end, you know, like all his other movies. let's just say its disappointing. plus we missed the first 10 minutes because we bought the tickets late. the movie isn't all bad. there are a few kan cheong parts where me and sook yan huddled together like the big bad monsters were out to get us wtf. plus it was freezing inside so dahlah i want to cover my ears and eyes AND also hug myself to keep myself warm and also eat popcorn at the same time. my hands could only do so much!

and there was one part in the movie where me and sook yan were like RUN LAAA!! DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!! WANNA DIE IS IT!!!????

yeahh...it was DAMN HAPPENING!

after the movie, i went and got myself 2 books. and these books have been occupying my studying time +__+ *MUST HAVE SELF-CONTROL*

once i got the books, we went off for dinner at asia cafe.

after dinner, we walked to the car. our car was parked near the banks, facing the mainroad and when we were going towards our car, there were loads of cars here and there, double-parking and waiting for space and what not.

we got to the car. i was at the passenger side with shalom and pui yan, sheeshee and sook yan were on the drivers side.

instead of opening the door, pui yan pressed the alarm button. and then the alarm stopped and the next thing i know i heard a really really soft "AHHH!!!"

naturally, i thought pui yan ahhhh-ed because she pressed the alarm button instead of the unlock button but then when i looked through the car window, to my HORROR.....

pui yan was in the middle of the road, with her handbag, purse, Croc slippers and...this is totally RANDOM, Hello Panda cookies sprawled on the tar road.

@$$HOLE!
pui yan was a snatch theft victim.
ALMOST.

she had bruises on her arms and tummy area but fortunately no bump on the head or anything serious. plus she didn't lose her bag!

by the time we looked up to catch the number plate of the @$$hole, he was already too far away.

us girls were pretty shaken up by the whole thing. and now we're scarred for life wtf. no more handbags for us. its the waistpouch now wtf. and the cargo pants with the crazy amount of pockets wtf.

to my female friends, if you're reading this, PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

eleanor rigby

Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people

Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong ?

Father McKenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near.
Look at him working. Darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave
No one was saved

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

i typed eleanor rigby on google to search for the lyrics and was surprised to find that it was a beatles song.

“It was the first time we put an Asian on the cover, and it was a special Shanghai issue, so I think we sent a message,” says Carine Roitfeld, editor-in-chief of French Vogue. “I think it’s very fashionable to use Asian girls. They are a particular beauty. Their skin is amazing, and they are very delicate, and they are very graceful.” – The Wall Street Journal

now, isn't that orientalism? especially the part "they are very delicate, they are very graceful". strategic essentialism played out by the asian girl.

by the way, that is du juan, a model from shanghai.

look dr.A, i'm applying the theories outside of class!!! =D i feel so smart. education didn't go to waste.

end of s1

classes have officially ended!

semester one begone!

last marketing lecture *tear*

the last 13 weeks have been bittersweet. i have come to realize that taking 2 subjects from the same lecturer is SUICIDE. never again will i. which is why i am hesitating to take another one of his subject next semester *shudders*

because do i want to do all my core next semester or do i wanna take an elective? the decision making process (marketing processes!? omg i'm beginning to quote from my mkw +__+) begins once again. people have come to ask me time and again what i wanna do in the future.

I DON'T BLOODY KNOW.

if i knew the answer, i wouldn't be sitting here now, would i? i would be OUT there, doing whatever it is i'm supposed to be doing. i mean, it took me the whole of summer break to figure out what i wanted to major in. so please, if i knew what i wanted to do, wouldn't i be out there DOING IT, making the money roll in instead of rolling it out and stressing myself.

i miss high school. the workload then compared to now. PEANUTS! KACANG!
ok maybe not so when i WAS in high school. i know better now. i am wiser *strokes chin with one eyebrow up. wtf i can't do that without physically holding my eyebrow up. screw it*

so yeah, all core or one elective? le sigh.

plus, suddenly (ok maybe not suddenly, i knew about it but now it's official sorta) i am thrust into the deep end. the new semester is gonna be one helluva hectic one +__+

i can't wait for the BREAK! three GLORIOUS weeks!

and the sad thing is ALL of my shows have already ended its season. which means i have NOTHING to watch. NADA. ZILCH. TAK ADA APA-APA. MEI YOU.

le sigh.

but nevermind, i have a FUN trip to look forward to with my best friend of 3 years and the drama queen.

waahh..exams coming and i still have time to blog. i only studied for a few hours just now then i ordered domino's and watched tv like a true blue couch potato. *aahhh...how i missed you my dear dear TV*

i watched blood and chocolate and i realized that the word CHOCOLATE sounds very sexy and yummy! nyaha.

i LOVE david cook's version of eleanor rigby. it is damn damn DAMN GOOD =D

not quite

"almost white but not quite"

that quote almost got me hyperventilating today when belinda mentioned it. ALMOST.

"omg who said that!?"
"dr. andrew"
"so we'll just quote him?"
"yeah!"

then along comes marina, our knight in shining armour!

"who said almost white but not quite?"
"homi bhabha"

you know the lightbulb that goes "DING" on top of the head on cartoons?
oh yeah. that lightbulb went "DING DING DING".

ever since camp, i have been super lazy. like lazy beyond lazy. i have been the mother of all laziness. so the drama kan? but it's true. i take naps every day like a baby who has the luxury of doing so because thats what babies do besides cry, poop, sleep and look all cute. but i DON'T have that luxury.

the only luxury i have is greys anatomy, one tree hill, gossip girl, ugly betty and desperate housewives. and now they're OVER. le sigh.

FINALLEH McDreamy and Meredith! one tree hill is killing me! who did Lucas call!? WHO!? who did Betty choose?? WHO!? whats going on with S and D!???

my mkw lecturer probably thought it would be fun to play a joke on us students because he sent us an EMPTY BLANK word document with the title Practice Questions 1 2008.

sugar high

i think its safe to say that sleep deprivation and sugar should NEVER go together.

for me anyways.

thanks to my assignment i slept at 3am and woke up at 7am for my ridiculously early 8am lecture. needless to say i hardly paid any attn in lecture because the call of sleep was to strong to ignore.

then came time for breakfast. i don't think i have ever made a decision so fast. EVER. i usually walk one round looking at the same ol' food everyday but today i was 'you guys go look for a place to sit while i go buy my food'. yes, mam wtf.

and when i got back to the table they were like 'WHOAAAA...that was fast!'

yes. i have come to realize that when i am sleep deprived i go into autopilot mode or something. i just don't give a damn about anything. and thats when i don't filter myself too. the comments and bad mouthing just keep flowing +_____+

i called my lecturer unstable. and then belinda started the bitch fest. we have been calling each other bitches the whole day. veenah, if you are reading this, we were channeling you. this just shows how much we miss you bitch =)

so after eating, i asked belinda whether i wanted bubble tea. and then she goes saying something about the willow tree from pocahontas *yes, that disney character* and saying 'listen to your heart'. when she said 'listen to you heart' the first thought that came to me was roxette's listen to your heart.

the grandmother willow was supposed to be all gentle and soft and willowy but belinda was so the opposite and gave grandmother willow a deep voice that i got scared and got myself a bubble tea.

now, this is when the combination of sleep deprivation and sugar got to me. it probably started in authorship lecture when the evaluation forms were given out. me and belinda began plotting to give out really negative comments because we wanted to rebel but of course we didn't cos we are nice that way. and i guess thats where the ball started rolling. non-stop laughter at the most randomest things. belinda then goes on to say 'entirely inappropriate' sounds so sensual. haha wtf.

and when we got out of lecture, belinda gave this really creepy laugh. very psycho-ish and norman bates-ish that we have decided to call her norma bates.

***

i have taken the liberty to youtube it so here's the pocahontas grandmother willow 'listen with your heart' link. go watch it. grandmother willow looks creepy.

i also youtubed the movie a walk to remember cos we were talking about it today. belinda, apparently laughs when she watches the movie. she has no heart. shall call her norma bates from now onwards wtf. and....wtf they have the entire movie on youtube. awesomeness. my vcd damn blur wan.

***

uni life is killin' me. SLOWLY.

i want to get myself a rich man and become a tai-tai.

li peng....faster get back here so we can plot on how to catch ourselves a rich man.
and j-man has joined the club too.

of cd's and iTunes

damn scary.

my lappie ate my cd!!!

*almost*

i was transfering songs from my cd into my iTunes so that i can store them in my iPod but then for some unknown reason i didn't insert the cd properly into the slot. it was supposed to just slide in effortlessly and when it didn't, i just forced it in +__+ *i damn impatient*

and then nothing happened!!!

OMG OMG OMG *panic attacks*

at first i kept pressing the eject button BUT IT WOULDN'T EFFIN' EJECT!! then i realized that OMG the lappie didn't even sense the cd!

and so i tried using my fingers to pinch it out but of course it didn't work unless my fingers were paper thin then maybe laa *pffttt*

out of desperation, i took an unwanted cd to try to force the stuck cd out. when that didn't work, i tried using a ruler to force it out. then i used two rulers to try and like pick it out like a chopstick. OMG I WAS DAMN DESPERATE OKAY!!!

i even used cardboard to try and pick it out!

even using all that, it STILL wouldn't come out.

and so the brilliant me tried to 'ON' the lappie one more time and eject it properly.

the heavens were singing when the desktop showed the icon 'AUDIO CD'

I COULD FINALLY EJECT THE CD!!!

you have no idea how freaked out i was. i so did not want to have to go to the shop to ask them to fix it. but despite all that picking and pushing, i knew deep down that everything was going to be ok.

and i was right. i am now happily transferring songs to my lappie =) and NO, i am so NOT the forcing the cd into the slot anymore. i shall be patient and gentle and let it slide in, the way it should be.

in conclusion, download your music to avoid such incidents!
plus, cd's take up space.

hpy bdy wl

i woke up at 12 after drinking and dancing the night away.

my throat doesn't feel dry.

my head and my body are attached.

i don't even have a sore throat from all that shouting last night.

and i found out last night that tequila burns! wtf how high was i on my bday!?

the walk to the unisex washroom will make any drunk sober. srsly. not that i was. drunk. or needed sobering up. halo on my head sprouting angel wings wtf.

thankfully the music wasn't house. or else all we'll be doing is feng-tauing *moves head left right up down wtf*

twas' a great night. =)

tick tock tick tock what you waiting forrrrrrrrrr

one moment i'm so chilled and relaxed like an ice-cube sitting in the freezer chilling away.

the next,

i am stressed to the point of being unable to think straight and crying internally. like tears are weeping INSIDE of me. i am mentally pulling my hairs. mentally screaming save me from my misery.

and then, i begin my journey of accomplishing yet another 2500 word essay.

right now, i am almost halfway there.

i CAN so do this.

but what's even worst than doing assignments is my exams. the timetable really kills.

5th
10th
23rd

frickin' 23rd!!! can you see the HUGE ASS gap in between!!??

and what's even worse than that is that the last paper is the killer one. anything can happen in between the period of waiting. ANYTHING. i might need to enter the mental asylum. seriously. i am mentally knocking my head on the wall now.

marketing ploy

i find it really stupid that i have to spend in order to get my birthday voucher.

what the fudge.

isn't the idea supposed to be, give me voucher, i spend, happy me, happy you?
what you are trying to do now is make me spend first to make you happy but then you make me happy by giving me a voucher but then i won't be so happy because only when i spend did you give me the damn voucher, and now in order to make full use of the voucher i have to spend again making you happier because twice i'll have to fork out the money thus making me that much unhappy?

damn i hate your marketing ploys. only fools will fall for it. you hear me! FOOLS!

and i for one, am no fool. *evil laugh wtf*

dahlah you sent me 3 sms-es regarding your mid-season sale.

i tak nak!

ps: i don't actually know the point of this post LOL. the things i do for the sake of blogging.

and they say

the day i left my teen-age

thank you for being so patient and staying tuned wtf.

i shall start at the very beginning (if i can betul betul remember laa. there will be no objectivity here wtf because it is impossible to be objective!)

at the stroke of midnight, i was surprised by my friends.

i was shocked! i was actually gonna fall asleep when they came knocking on my door but i buat tak tahu laa cos nobody in my house knocks the door. plus i was too damn tired to give a hoot about whatever that was knocking on my door *could be hantu also i don't think i would have cared wtf*

then they opened the door....

and i saw bright orangey yellowy lights and heard voices! *at that time i was too shocked and might have even thought it was a dream O_0*
then those voices started singing and i was like "OMG OMG OMG"

i NEVER saw this coming! i was shocked beyond disbelief. i was also speechless.

and so this surprise couldn't have happened without the help of my dad. no wonder he came and checked on me that night *strokes imaginary white long beard thoughtfully*

the surprise cake. mango delight or something like that. it's full of mango cream inside. omg, 2 big candles +__+ *wailssss*

and because they surprised me on the day i turned ___, i decided to celebrate with my one of my good friends. everyone, meet baileys! (you'll meet my other good friend)

this is a huge shoutout to winnie, shee ann, pui mun and pui yan! thank you for surprising me that night =)

mwahs!

***

now moving on.

i had dinner with family.
aunts, uncles and cousins came along.
this year i decided to skip the western meal i usually have and went for a chinese banquet instead.
*i think right, postcol has somewhat influenced me. i'm embracing my chinese-ness*
plus fries and beef are so overrated wtf.

and anyways, dinner came with a bottle of wine of which i think i had 2 or 3 glasses (which leads to the revelation of something...to clear my name for good wtf)

***
now comes the good part. and probably the greatest part of the night.

i had so many firsts on that night i might have broken the record for number of things to happen to a person for the first time in their lives.

ok i don't think i made sense.

li peng and simon were the masterminds behind the whole thing. thank you very the much!

the location: twenty-one

it has been a dream of mine to have cupcakes instead of cakes wtf. I LOVED IT!
super chocolatey.

l-r: j-man, best friend of 3 years, still sober me wtf & li peng, one half of NatLi and organizer of the night

wei liang and brian. brian, i just realized i didn't take any pics with you or drank with you. you owe me a photo and a drink wtf. it would have been even more fun with you around *thinks of malacca* then we could be gila-gila together wtf.

the whole bunch of them that celebrated the momentous 2-0 with me minus brian and jason who left early. party poopers wtf.

the surprise of the night wasn't the place where we going 'cause i found out before arriving. but the biggest surprise was actually seeing alex, wei liang, sze jia and karina.

meet my other good friend, JD. thanks to you, i had a GREAT night.

she was drink deprived wtf. poor thing's going back to york soon. see how happy she is! JD makes you happy like that wtf.
Linksimon, the other half of the organizer, i'm beginning to turn red in the face & arthur who made me down a full glass of JD but made up for it by practically holding me when i couldn't walk without tripping over. i blame the heels wtf.
mr.tan

the N goes in front of the A, alex.

j-man doing what she does best =)

arthur teaching the proper ways of cheering. look at j-man. so excited HAHA!

cheering properly. eye contact is key. *look into my eyes*

as you can see, i smile for the camera, wei liang buat kacau! pfftt..and arthur is holding me cos i couldn't walk properly +__+

and i think the reason why i got high so fast was because of the wine i had earlier!
that means i already had alcohol content in me.

*that was me clearing my name wtf*

so after drinks at twenty-one, we were off to maison.

NatLi on the way to maison.

lips & j-man

interesting how a bottle of bacardi is next to me.
too bad its empty wtf.

shots.

cheers!

yum yum wtf.

on a miserably sized platform they called a dancefloor with random people. one of them was also celebrating their birthdays and one of them is from taylors. amazing how you can find information like this on sardine canned miserable dancefloor with an equally miserable sound they call house. should be called thrash.
trying to move in a sardine can. omg. there were like 2 guys who were rubbing themselves against us. disgust me. and one of them kept putting his hands around the girls waist. i kept slapping his hands away like i was swatting flies.

HA. HA.

HA HA ALEX!

closing the night.

couple of the night wtf.

that night, was the first time i ever went drinking (hello JD!), first time i went to maison (after reading so much about it in countless blogs and hearing about it) and getting high (highlight of the night wtf)

and i just wanna thank all of you who made this possible. i couldn't have asked for a better group of friends to share this night with. you all made turning 20 that much bearable.

mwah mwah!

we should do this again! teeheehee...

*slaps self* omg what have i turned into!

plenty more on facebook. and sze jia said it right. my rep gone +__+

***

ah-ha! you think it's over but it isn't.

the next day, i went out with my girlfriends.

very the innocent. not wild like the night before.

was supposed to only have dinner but because there was another birthday boy in the vicinity we decided to go to republic.

best bunch ever!
l-r: sook yan, pui mun, shee ann, me, winnie, pui yan, karine

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY FOOK SIANG!!!
pfffttt...enough with the 6 days older than you crap. you're 20 now. HA HA!

the entire people

the pose in front of mirror and take a picture shot.

saying we went wild after the drinks would be an understatement. we were like children in a candy store going snap-happy with that one camera.

sucks to be you who isn't in that picture because the rest of the pictures will not be posted. terlalu memalu-fying wtf.

mwah mwah!

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!!!

ALL OF YOU MADE IT A MEMORABLE BIRTHDAY!!!

xoxo

ps: oohh...i have a comments section already! comment away. i want happy comments because this is a happy post =) wtf i sound so retarded. gimme happy meal wtf.

shouldn't be here

i went online after class to get my weekly dose of the hills.

then i watched some random shows on 8tv. ok maybe not random la. i watched ghost just so i can spot the guest actor. i didn't even bother watching the last ep to find out who killed zack imran.

then i read diligently and made notes and summaries of what i read *bangga wtf*
bangga konon. i only managed to summarize one reading wtf.

then i decided to screw the reading and just google it.

and that's when it all came tumbling down.

that dreaded 'F' word.

FACEBOOK!

been busy commenting on pictures and randomly writing on people's walls.

i agree with veenah, we need to go to facebook rehab.

they tried to make me go to rehab
i said NO! NO! NO!

nappp timeee

zomg! i tried to take a nap this afternoon and i couldn't.

what the FUDGEE!!!

and so i tried reading my reader. and i can barely comprehend what the reader is saying +__+

HOW!? my assignment is on the line here. i only managed to get through one reading out of five.

mati aku.

and after reading without completely understanding what i have just read, i watched the hills. WHERE ARE YOUR PRIORITIES WOMAN!??

*slaps self wtf*

now not only do i have 4 more readings to go through, i most probably have to read them again and again to fully comprehend what they are trying to say. then start writing 2500 words. ZOMG!!

which led to a very interesting convo we had after lecture on monday. we were saying how engineering and business students won't be able to study what we study because it totally goes against their system. and how we can do well in an engineering course but if we do fail it's because we can't understand the formulas and apply it or something technical like that. HA! i would love to see a business or engineering student attend authorship one day. because if we arts student are already barely floating in this course, it's gonna be drowning straight for them. i'm so mean.

i. think. i. better. stop. need. to. continue. reading.
