of cd's and iTunes

damn scary.

my lappie ate my cd!!!

*almost*

i was transfering songs from my cd into my iTunes so that i can store them in my iPod but then for some unknown reason i didn't insert the cd properly into the slot. it was supposed to just slide in effortlessly and when it didn't, i just forced it in +__+ *i damn impatient*

and then nothing happened!!!

OMG OMG OMG *panic attacks*

at first i kept pressing the eject button BUT IT WOULDN'T EFFIN' EJECT!! then i realized that OMG the lappie didn't even sense the cd!

and so i tried using my fingers to pinch it out but of course it didn't work unless my fingers were paper thin then maybe laa *pffttt*

out of desperation, i took an unwanted cd to try to force the stuck cd out. when that didn't work, i tried using a ruler to force it out. then i used two rulers to try and like pick it out like a chopstick. OMG I WAS DAMN DESPERATE OKAY!!!

i even used cardboard to try and pick it out!

even using all that, it STILL wouldn't come out.

and so the brilliant me tried to 'ON' the lappie one more time and eject it properly.

the heavens were singing when the desktop showed the icon 'AUDIO CD'

I COULD FINALLY EJECT THE CD!!!

you have no idea how freaked out i was. i so did not want to have to go to the shop to ask them to fix it. but despite all that picking and pushing, i knew deep down that everything was going to be ok.

and i was right. i am now happily transferring songs to my lappie =) and NO, i am so NOT the forcing the cd into the slot anymore. i shall be patient and gentle and let it slide in, the way it should be.

in conclusion, download your music to avoid such incidents!
plus, cd's take up space.
