seeing a regular pattern?

OMG, i watched 2 movies in one week. that's rm14 worth of dvds.

BUT i have to say, both movies are definitely worth watching. get smart is hilarious with a capital H. steve carell is just pure funny. it's like the office on big screen. plus a tiny bit of harry potter in it. not laugh-out-loud funny but HA HA HA funny.

Siegfried: How do I know you're not from CONTROL?
Maxwell Smart: If I were from CONTROL, you'd already be dead.
Siegfried: If you were from CONTROL, YOU'D already be dead.
Maxwell Smart: Neither of us is dead, so I'm obviously not from CONTROL.
[long pause]
Shtarker: That actually makes sense.

this sort of dialogue are a plenty. which is very entertaining. and who would have thought steve carell could be a leading man! check out his other movie, dan in real life.

Sloan: It a choice, Wesley, that each of us must face: to remain ordinary, pathetic, beat-down, coasting through a miserable existence, like sheep herded by fate, or you can take control of your own destiny and join us, releasing the caged wolf you have inside. Our purpose is to maintain stability in an unstable world - kill one, save a thousand. Within the fabric of this world, every life hangs by a thread. We are that thread - a fraternity of assassins, weapons of fate. This is the decision that lies before you know: the sheep, or the wolf. The choice is yours.

FANTABULUSTIC!

i liked the editing of the movie. cool shyt man. it's like the matrix and sin city combined.

there's a scene which so reminded me of the matrix. but this was just crazy! cos in the matrix it wasn't really real. everything was a code and all. but in wanted, this was real shyt so when that scene came up, i was just 'WHOA!'

james mcavoy totally unexpected but so so SO AWESOMETASTIC! who would have thought the guy from narnia, becoming jane, atonement and penelope could be in an action movie!

and not a big fan of hers but i have to admit angelina jolie looked really hot in the movie.

the only thing ruining the fun in the movie is the totally unnecessary censoring of swear words. for goodness sake, people pay good money to watch the movie. this is not shown on tv. plus its already rated 18SG. adults are watching NOT 5 year old kids! really potong stim! potong kau kau!

it was so random. when they started using swear words, they muted the part. and it was so obvious lah what they were saying. but they JUST had to mute it! so there are parts in the movie that goes 'bla bla *silence* bla bla *silence* bla bla'

the cinema was pretty cool though. has been awhile since i watched at gsc mv. i remember not liking to watch there cos the screen wasn't as clear as the ones at tgv. the seats were good cos there was a headrest unlike in other cinemas where you had to slide down to rest your head on the seats. me likey likey the seats. i actually wanted to watch at the gsc premier at the gardens but because the tickets were double the price it was decided to be better off sticking to the regular priced cinema.

then there was the shopping.

window shopping more likely. i had to exercise self-control and kept with the mantra of "i'll be going to bangkok to shop" everytime i spotted something that i wanted. and thankfully, it's been working *gives self a pat on the back*

most also probably know that mng, zara and topshop, miss selfridge and dp are having SALE now.

OH EM GEE the queue in the fitting room is atrociously long. you would have thought the gov had annouced a price hike in apparels wtf. reminisce of the queue for petrol a day before the hike. instead of cars, a long line of females wtf.

like in each of the shops i mentioned above, there was bound to be a queue. totally made my exercising of self-control that much easier. i couldn't be bothered to queue. plus in mng it was really really hot and kinda stuffy. like they didn't bother to turn on their air-conditioning. pfft! and the clothes were in a total disarray. typical sale situation where clothes are just everywhere . even the clothes in a pasar malam would be better organized! that said, some of the stuff are reasonably priced. would probably be wise to go during a weekday like mondays or tuesdays OR be a smart shopper and wear shorts and a tank top so that you can just try on the clothes then and there. or wear a sarong and bikini! HA HA.

the sale in zara on the other hand, not really exciting. some items that i saw were like reduced from rm159.90 to rm129.90. pfftt..rm30 difference and you call that a sale. the crowd wasn't as crazy as mng though but the queue in the fitting room, just as long. i did see a bag that i liked and my self-control could only be controlled so much. thank goodness for the mantra i kept repeating. kept me sane wtf.

then the final stop we went to was the topshop/miss selfridge/dorothy perkins member's sale. storewide only 20%. wells, better 20% than nothing at all. as usual, a long line could be seen for the fitting rooms. however, the lines could be seen in topshop and dp. miss selfridge macam so kesian! no queue at all and no crowds either.

that said, nobody can resist a SALE. every shoppers favourite four letter word!

what did i get you might ask?
i got myself a rm10 tanktop and a rm5 hairclip. and no, they weren't on sale. you can call me cheapskate or you can call me economical wtf. and to think i was this close to getting that zara bag which was only cheaper by rm30! that would have been a rip off.

thankgoodness i am stingy with my money wtf.

ps:anyone going for the klue urbanscapes!? i can't decide if i want to go or not.
